Sugar Hill Georgia - Welcome Home to the Sweet Life!

Once upon a time, before Sugar Hill was a city it was a route from the Buford Railroad to the City of Cumming Georgia. How did it become Sugar Hill? Well, like most southern cities, when something happens in an area we tend to name it that way! According to tradition, a large shipment of sugar passing through the area from Buford to Cumming spilled out everywhere when the wagon wheel broke. The area became known as "the hill where the sugar spilled" or "the sugar hill".
